Student Testimonial: A Mentor Who Takes It Seriously

Diallo Wallace has been one of the most influential mentors in my journey towards a career in professional flying. I met Diallo at an HBCU aviation conference and asked him to be my mentor because he had experience in the areas I was looking to pursue a career in, but also because of his demeanor.

Diallo takes the role of a mentor very seriously. He is routinely checking in on me and my flight training progress, recommending me for scholarships and advocating for me when it matters most. He has been helping me discern between military and civilian aviation, and having a mentor in the military gives me the ability to ask the right questions to gain perspective.

As a mentor, Diallo is supportive, honest, invested, encouraging, and intentional. I am very grateful to have him as a mentor and role model.
